2 Customer Q&As for Estrogen Receptor-alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Question

Dear Technical Team: I planned to perform fluorescent immune-staining with two estrogen receptor antibodies on the same sample tissue slide. In your catalogue online I found Estrogen Receptor-alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit as the most compatible primary antibodies. However, I need more information about immunostaining, can you provide me with more details about the dilutions and the method that I will used to performed simultaneous fluorescent immunostaining.

Answer

Our product Estrogen Receptor-alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit has been tested for IHC-P, so definitely it will work in immunofluorescence. Since the host species and the isotypes are different, they can be applied in double staining with compatible secondary antibodies. Additionally, we would suggest before you perform double staining, try to use first the antibodies in single staining to make sure that the procedure works well. When the results detects two targets nicely, then you can proceed with the double staining on the same samples.

Asked: 2017-09-25

Answer

We are not sure if the antibody EKC1202 amino acids would correspond with beta estradiol, though the immunogen that was used to generate the antibody is recombinant fragment that correspond to amino acids 302-595 of Human Estrogen Receptor. Thus, you could possibly align this section of the human estrogen receptor with your target sequence and check the level of similarity.
