Background of sFRP-3/FRZB
FRZB is also known as FRE or OS1. The protein encoded by this gene is a secreted protein that is involved in the regulation of bone development. Defects in this gene are a cause of female-specific osteoarthritis (OA) susceptibility. FRZB is a Wnt-binding protein especially important in embryonic development. It is a competitor for the cell-surface G-protein receptor Frizzled. FRZB is localized in the extracellular plasma membrane. Unlike frizzled, frzb lacks the 7 transmembrane domains normally found in G-protein-coupled receptors. It is still considered a homolog of frizzled because it contains a Cysteine Rich Domain (CRD), and because of its intracellular C-terminus which is crucial for signaling.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

4 Customer Q&As for Anti-FRZB Antibody Picoband®
Question
We are currently using anti-FRZB antibody PB9372 for human tissue, and we are satisfied with the ELISA results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human. Is it possible that the antibody can work on monkey tissues as well?
S. Patel
Verified customer
Asked: 2019-11-26
Answer
The anti-FRZB antibody (PB9372) has not been validated for cross reactivity specifically with monkey tissues, though there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in monkey you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.

Question
I am looking for to test anti-FRZB antibody PB9372 on human embryo for research purposes, then I may be interested in using anti-FRZB antibody PB9372 for diagnostic purposes as well. Is the antibody suitable for diagnostic purposes?
S. Mitchell
Verified customer
Asked: 2019-10-31
Answer
The products we sell, including anti-FRZB antibody PB9372, are only intended for research use. They would not be suitable for use in diagnostic work. If you have the means to develop a product into diagnostic use, and are interested in collaborating with us and develop our product into an IVD product, please contact us for more discussions.

Question
Will anti-FRZB antibody PB9372 work on horse WB with pancreas spleen?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2017-09-27
Answer
Our lab technicians have not validated anti-FRZB antibody PB9372 on horse. You can run a BLAST between horse and the immunogen sequence of anti-FRZB antibody PB9372 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated horse samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in horse pancreas spleen in WB, you can get your next antibody for free.
