Background of PEG3
Induces apoptosis in cooperation with SIAH1A. Acts as a mediator between p53/TP53 and BAX in a neuronal death pathway that is activated by DNA damage. Acts synergistically with TRAF2 and inhibits TNF induced apoptosis through activation of NF-kappa-B By similarity. Possesses a tumor suppressing activity in glioma cells.

Would A02541 anti-PEG3 antibody work on parafin embedded sections? If so, which fixation method do you recommend we use (PFA, paraformaldehyde, other)?

As indicated on the product datasheet, A02541 anti-PEG3 antibody as been validated on WB. It is best to use PFA for fixation because it has better tissue penetration ability. PFA needs to be prepared fresh before use. Long term stored PFA turns into formalin, as the PFA molecules congregate and become formalin.

We are currently using anti-PEG3 antibody A02541 for human tissue, and we are satisfied with the WB results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human. Is it possible that the antibody can work on canine tissues as well?
