Background of Esrp1
Epithelial splicing regulatory protein 1 (Esrp-1) is an mRNA splicing factor that regulates the formation of epithelial cell-specific isoforms. It specifically regulates the expression of FGFR2-IIIb, an epithelial cell-specific isoform of FGFR2, and also regulates the splicing of CD44, CTNND1, ENAH, 3 transcripts that undergo changes in splicing during the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT). EsrpP-1 acts by directly binding specific sequences in mRNAs. It binds the GU-rich sequence motifs in the ISE/ISS-3, a cis-element regulatory region present in the mRNA of FGFR2.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Western blot analysis of ESRP1 expression in GFP-transfected 293T cell lysates (lane 1), ESRP2-transfected 293T cell lysates (lane 3) and transfected 293T cell extracts (lane 2). ESRP1 was detected using mouse anti-ESRP1 monoclonal antibody (Catalog # M06068-1) at 1:1000. The blot was developed using chemiluminescence (ECL) method (Catalog # EK1001).

7 Customer Q&As for Anti-Esrp-1 Monoclonal Antibody
Question
Will M06068-1 anti-Esrp-1 Monoclonal antibody work on parafin embedded sections? If so, which fixation method do you recommend we use (PFA, paraformaldehyde, other)?
B. Parker
Verified customer
Asked: 2020-02-17
Answer
As indicated on the product datasheet, M06068-1 anti-Esrp-1 Monoclonal antibody as been tested on WB. It is best to use PFA for fixation because it has better tissue penetration ability. PFA needs to be prepared fresh before use. Long term stored PFA turns into formalin, as the PFA molecules congregate and become formalin.
