2 Customer Q&As for TRA-2 alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA
Question
I am interested in using your EKC1803 TRA-2 alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA but I need to know if you have some information about its functionality in FACS or as stimulating antibody. Also I would like to ask if you know the epitope in TCRalpha that is recognized by this EKC1803 antibody.

Answer
Unfortunately, this EKC1803 antibody has not yet been tested in these applications about its functionality in FACS or as stimulating antibody. All our tested applications are specified in our datasheets. For this antibody it is polyclonal to the whole recombinant protein and it recognizes many epitopes on the protein. If you want more specificity on the epitope, try a monoclonal antibody.

Question
Could you please tell me the immunogen was used to generate this TRA-2 alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA, because we want to use it with other species aside from human and we need to know its conservation as well as its chance of cross-reacting with other similar AP-2 family members.

Answer
The exact immunogen of this TRA-2 alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA is consider as proprietary, but we at least tell you that it is within the final 30 amino acids of the C terminus of the human protein. Please check this Uniprot accession P05549 (http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P05549).
