1 Customer Q&As for PKC alpha (Phospho-Thr638) Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit
Question
I searches at your website and found EKC2174 PKC alpha (Phospho-Thr638) Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit. But I have a question about this product. Though the datasheet shows a western blot image showing it's binding to PKC-alpha, is the antibody tested for cross-reactivity with other members of PKC family like PKC-beta or PKC-delta.

Answer
The antibody EKC2174 has not been tested for cross reactivity against other PKC family members. But in BLASTS and immunogen alignment showed that this product, has 85% and 66% homology against mouse PKC beta and gamma respectively. However, alignment against human demonstrate similar result, As such, it is not expected to have reaction with PKC gamma, yet there is good chance of reactivity against PKC beta.
