3 Customer Q&As for IKK-alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit
Question
Do the EKC1292 IKK-alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit recognize an extracellular epitope or do you have to follow an intracellular protocol for flow?

Asked: 2019-12-13
Answer
For EKC1292 IKK-alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit and most of our antibodies we are not able to provide specific epitope information but it seems most targets are intracellular. Therefore, not on the membrane and cells need fixation prior to staining intracellular target. Flow cytometry protocol is recommended.

Question
I have a question regarding your EKC1292 IKK-alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit. I want to use antibody for flow cytometric analysis of phosphorylated IKK-alpha, do this EKC1292 IKK-alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit detect phosphorylated IKK-alpha or only IKK-alpha? Since I want to study the TLR signaling pathway and I need to look at activated (phosphorylated) IIKK alpha enzyme. Can you guide me regarding this...so I can order an antibody accordingly?

Asked: 2013-02-20
Answer
We can confirmed that EKC1292 IKK-alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit has not been specifically raised against a phosphorylated residue of the protein, it is therefore likely to detect both phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms of the protein. We recommend to review the datasheets for further details and to select the tested antibody in the species you will be using. In regards to flow cytometry, unfortunately EKC1292 IKK-alpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit has not been tested, so we cannot guarantee.
