Facts about Zinc transporter 7.
Required with ZNT5 for the activation of zinc- requiring enzymes, alkaline phosphatases (ALPs). Transports zinc into the lumens of the Golgi apparatus and the vesicular compartments where ALPs find, thus, converting apoALPs to holoALPs.
