Boster Bio's monoclonal anti-ACE2 antibody

Using viral RNA standard curves and primer-probes that target the SARS-CoV-2 E gene, the authors calculated titers of patients with this disease by measuring the binding of ACE2 to RBD. The two antibodies exhibited half-maximum inhibitory concentrations of 47.7 and 79.6 ng/ml, respectively.

Its anti-CD68 (Macrophage Marker) antibody

This monoclonal antibody recognizes a glycoprotein of 110kDa that is important for the identification of macrophages in tissue sections. The antibody reacts with macrophages, their precursors, in several human tissues including tumor cells and peripheral blood granulocytes. This antibody also stains myeloid precursors (granulocytes) and plasmacytoid-T cells, which are thought of being monocyte/macrophage in origin. CD68-specific staining of the molecule is particularly prominent in acute and chronic myeloid leukemia and in rare cases, true histiocytic neoplasia.

CD68, a marker for macrophages, is expressed on many cell types. Its expression is regulated by a macrophage-specific promoter. This monoclonal antibodies is highly reactive to non-haematopoietic, such as lymphocytes, and other types of cancer cells. The fixation technique used affects the intensity and duration of staining.

CD68+ cell were found in epicardial tissues and blood vessels in CAD, ischemic heart diseases samples. Compared to non-CAD patients, CAD patients have greater levels of macrophage infiltration in epicardial adipose tissue. TNF-a as well as IL-6 levels are higher in patients with CAD. These factors could play a role in the aggregation.

This monoclonal antibody recognises the M2-macrophage marker CD68. This monoclonal antibody can be used to diagnose cancer cells by studying the tumor's microenvironment. The anti-CD68 antigen appears to be effective in treating lung cancer. It is highly effective for treating advanced nonmalignant lung cancers.

This antibody is able to recognize M2 macrophages in addition to the M1 and 2 macrophage subsets. M2 macrophages, on the other hand, express IL-18 and M2-macrophage markers.
