Adenylosuccinate lyase (ADSL)

Catalyzes 2 non-sequential steps in de novo AMP synthesis: Functions (S)-2-(5-amino-1-(5-phospho-D- ribosyl)imidazole-4-carboxamido)succinate (SAICAR) into fumarate plus 5-amino-1-(5-phospho-D-ribosyl)imidazole-4-carboxamide, and thus also contributes to de novo IMP synthesis, also extends succinyladenosine monophosphate (SAMP) into AMP and fumarate. .
