Immunogen
A synthesized peptide derived from human SMYD3 Histone methyltransferase. Specifically methylates 'Lys-4' of histone H3, inducing di- and tri-methylation, but not monomethylation. Plays an important role in transcriptional activation as a member of an RNA polymerase complex. Binds DNA containing 5'-CCCTCC-3' or 5'-GAGGGG-3' sequences.

Question
Does anti-SMYD3 Monoclonal antibody M02080 work on feline IF with colon melanoma?
L. Walker
Verified customer
Asked: 2017-05-23
Answer
Our lab technicians have not tested anti-SMYD3 Monoclonal antibody M02080 on feline. You can run a BLAST between feline and the immunogen sequence of anti-SMYD3 Monoclonal antibody M02080 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated feline samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in feline colon melanoma in IF, you can get your next antibody for free.
