Background of PIP5K1 alpha
Phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate 5-kinase type-1 alpha is a member of PI3/PI4-kinase family, PI4K alpha is expressed with the highest amount of expression in the heart, placenta, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas. This gene encodes a phosphatidylinositol (PI) 4-kinase which catalyzes the first committed step in the biosynthesis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate. Anti-PI4K alpha antibody is ideal for investigators interested in Kinase and Phosphatase Antibodies.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Question
Would A07416 anti-PI4K a, type I antibody work on parafin embedded sections? If so, which fixation method do you recommend we use (PFA, paraformaldehyde, other)?
Verified Customer

Asked: 2019-08-20
Answer
As indicated on the product datasheet, A07416 anti-PI4K a, type I antibody as been validated on IHC. It is best to use PFA for fixation because it has better tissue penetration ability. PFA needs to be prepared fresh before use. Long term stored PFA turns into formalin, as the PFA molecules congregate and become formalin.
