Background of MAPKAPK2
MAPKAPK-2 encodes a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. This kinase is regulated through direct phosphorylation by p38 MAP kinase. In conjunction with p38 MAP kinase, this kinase is known to be involved in many cellular processes including stress and inflammatory responses, nuclear export, gene expression regulation and cell proliferation. Heat shock protein HSP27 was shown to be one of the substrates of this kinase in vivo. Two transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Our lab technicians have not validated anti-Phospho-MAPKAPK-2 (Thr334) antibody P01193 on goat. You can run a BLAST between goat and the immunogen sequence of anti-Phospho-MAPKAPK-2 (Thr334) antibody P01193 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated goat samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in goat skin testis in WB, you can get your next antibody for free.
