Background of MRPL12

Cybr (Pscdbp) is a new scaffold protein with significant homology to Tamalin. It contains a PDZ binding domain and a coiled-coil domain. Cybr is highly expressed in the immune system, and its expression seems to be common to nearly all immune cell populations (T cells, B cells, NK Macrophages, dendritic cells).  Other organs/tissues in which Cybr is expressed include lung, kidney, intestine and testes. Cybr may play an important in vivo role in cell migration, especially when modulated by pro-inflammatory cytokines. Anti-Cybr Antibody is suitable for researchers interested in the Research Areas of Chromatin, Immunology, Neuroscience, and Signal Transduction.

Antibody Validation

Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

7 Customer Q&As for Anti-MRP-L12 Antibody

Question

Does A10395-1 anti-MRP-L12 antibody work on parafin embedded sections? If so, which fixation method do you recommend we use (PFA, paraformaldehyde, other)?

Verified Customer

Verified customer

Asked: 2019-11-14

Answer

It shows on the product datasheet, A10395-1 anti-MRP-L12 antibody as been tested on WB. It is best to use PFA for fixation because it has better tissue penetration ability. PFA needs to be prepared fresh before use. Long term stored PFA turns into formalin, as the PFA molecules congregate and become formalin.

Question

Would anti-MRP-L12 antibody A10395-1 work on pig WB with muscle?

P. Jackson

Verified customer

Asked: 2018-05-08

Answer

Our lab technicians have not validated anti-MRP-L12 antibody A10395-1 on pig. You can run a BLAST between pig and the immunogen sequence of anti-MRP-L12 antibody A10395-1 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated pig samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in pig muscle in WB, you can get your next antibody for free.

Question

We are currently using anti-MRP-L12 antibody A10395-1 for human tissue, and we are happy with the WB results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human, mouse. Is it true that the antibody can work on pig tissues as well?

Verified Customer

Verified customer

Asked: 2017-05-24

Answer

The anti-MRP-L12 antibody (A10395-1) has not been validated for cross reactivity specifically with pig tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in pig you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.
