Background of MED27
Component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Mediator functions as a bridge to convey information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. Mediator is recruited to promoters by direct interactions with regulatory proteins and serves as a scaffold for the assembly of a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and the general transcription factors.

Question
Will anti-MED27/Crsp8 antibody A10484 work on feline WB with oocyte?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2018-09-24
Answer
Our lab technicians have not tested anti-MED27/Crsp8 antibody A10484 on feline. You can run a BLAST between feline and the immunogen sequence of anti-MED27/Crsp8 antibody A10484 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated feline samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in feline oocyte in WB, you can get your next antibody for free.
