Background of MAP3K20
Sterile alpha motif and leucine zipper containing kinase AZK, also known as ZAK, is a human gene. This gene is a member of the MAPKKK family of signal transduction molecules and encodes a protein with an N-terminal kinase catalytic domain, followed by a leucine zipper motif and a sterile-alpha motif (SAM). This magnesium-binding protein forms homodimers and is located in the cytoplasm. The protein mediates gamma radiation signaling leading to cell cycle arrest and activity of this protein plays a role in cell cycle checkpoint regulation in cells. The protein also has pro-apoptotic activity. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Figure 1. Western blot analysis of MAP3K20 using anti-MAP3K20 antibody (A00902-1).
Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: mouse thymus tissue lysate.
After Electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a Nitrocellulose membrane at 150mA for 50-90 minutes. Blocked the membrane with 5% Non-fat Milk/ TBS for 1.5 hour at RT. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-MAP3K20 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (Catalog # A00902-1) at 0.5 μg/mL overnight at 4°C, then washed with TBS-0.1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10000 for 1.5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit (Catalog # EK1002) with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for MAP3K20 at approximately 91KD. The expected band size for MAP3K20 is at 91KD.

Question
Will anti-MAP3K20 antibody A00902-1 work on primate WB with embl:bad92211.1}?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2020-01-15
Answer
Our lab technicians have not validated anti-MAP3K20 antibody A00902-1 on primate. You can run a BLAST between primate and the immunogen sequence of anti-MAP3K20 antibody A00902-1 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated primate samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in primate embl:bad92211.1} in WB, you can get your next antibody for free.
