Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase type 5 (ACP5)

Involved in osteopontin/bone sialoprotein dephosphorylation. Its expression appears to increase in certain pathological states such as Gaucher and Hodgkin diseases, the hairy cell, the B-cell, and the T-cell leukemias.
