Facts about X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 5.
Single-stranded DNA-dependent ATP-dependent helicase.
The DNA helicase II complex binds preferentially to fork-like ends of double-stranded DNA in a cell cycle-dependent manner. It works in the 3'-5' direction. Binding to DNA may be mediated by XRCC6.

If you haven't yet purchased the Boster Bio Anti-Ku (p70/p80) (Nuclear Marker), then you have not yet experienced the many benefits this product offers. These benefits include submitting results for applications, species and other samples, and earning product credits. All scientists across the globe can access this program. Read on to find out more. Below are a few of the most effective uses for this marker.
The Ku (p70/p80), nuclear marker is a heterodimer containing 70 and 80 subunits of protein with a kDa. The Ku antigen is a member of an autoantigen group of DNA-proteins that play a role in the process of arranging the genome. While its precise role in cell biology isn't known, it is similar to transcriptional activator protein. It can stimulate transcription by two promoters.
Potential targets for antibody imaging of prostate carcinoma include the Ku70/p80 complex. Initial tests of the antibody (111.In-DTPA–INCA-X) was performed in NMRI-nude animals with prostate cancer xenografts. The antibody was administered intravenously and then pre-administered at various time points. Tissue samples were obtained at 48, 72, and 96 hours after the injection and radioactivity was assessed.
