Facts about Ras-related protein Rab-14.
May act by regulating the kinesin KIF16B-cargo institution to endosomes (By similarity). Regulates, together with its guanine nucleotide exchange factor DENND6A, the specific endocytic transport of ADAM10, N- cadherin/CDH2 shedding and cell-cell adhesion.

This article focuses on the RAB14 Marker from Boster Bio. It describes the various benefits of using this marker. It also discusses typical applications of the RAB14 antibody Picoband. This article applies to scientists all over the world. It provides information for assessing the efficacy of the anti-RAB14 antibody Picoband in a wide variety of research studies.
The RAB14 Marker is a novel gene that has been used in research on Chlamydia trachomatis, a bacterium that is responsible for the most common bacterial sexually transmitted diseases in the world. Chlamydia trachomatis is an obligate intracellular bacterium that depends on the biosynthetic machinery of its host cell to grow and survive. Rab14 is involved in the delivery of sphingolipids to growing bacteria and inhibits the progression of chlamydial inclusion enlargement and the production of progeny.
The RAB14 Marker is useful for identifying the bacterial gene expression in phagosomes. Phagosomes harboring live Mycobacterium avium bacteria do not undergo phagosomal maturation, and Rab14 is recruited to them. Heat-killed bacteria normally mature into phagolysosomes. Rab14 recruitment correlates with the inhibition of phagosomal maturation.
Known as RAB14, this protein is a member of the large RAB family of low-molecular-mass GTPases. Rab14 functions in intracellular membrane trafficking, and is encoded by the RAB14 gene, located at 9q33.2. Rab14 interacts with downstream effector proteins to regulate the reorganization of intracellular compartments. In addition, this antibody is designed to detect the presence of RAB14 in samples from multiple biological processes.
Rab 14 Antibody (D-5) is available from a variety of suppliers. The RAB14 protein is encoded by the gene rab14, and is estimated to weigh 23.9 kilobaltons. It has several orthologs in mammals, including monkey, fly, and rat. The antibody itself has low cross-reactivity and is ideal for use in immunoassays.
