Proteoglycan 4 (PRG4)

Plays a role in boundary lubrication within articulating joints. Prevents protein residue onto cartilage from synovial fluid by controlling adhesion-dependent synovial growth and inhibiting the adhesion of synovial cells into the cartilage surface.
