GPI-anchor transamidase (PIGK)

Mediates GPI anchoring in the endoplasmic reticulum, by substituting a protein C-terminal GPI attachment signal peptide with a pre-assembled GPI. During this transamidation reaction, the GPI transamidase creates a carbonyl intermediate with the substrate protein.
