Facts about MLX-interacting protein.
Binds DNA as a heterodimer with MLX and activates transcription.
Binds to the canonical E box sequence 5'-CACGTG-3'.Plays a role in transcriptional activation of glycolytic target genes. Involved in glucose-responsive gene regulation.

Widely expressed in adult tissues. Most abundant in skeletal muscle.
Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Mitochondrion outer membrane. Predominantly cytoplasmic but shuttles between cytoplasm and nucleus when associated with MLX. Also associates with the outer mitochondrial membrane and may shuttle between the outer mitochondrial membrane and the nucleus.

This antibody detects MXIP in a variety if biological samples, including a wide range of tumors. This antibody targets the mLXIP protein in WB, IP (IF), chIP, mouse and rats samples. MLXIP is a member the MXD transcription factors family. Its expression is highly variable. It is suitable only for research and not licensed for any diagnostic or therapeutic uses.
The MLXIP gene is an essential component of the proximal MYC network in spermatogenesis and other cellular processes. MLX is also associated with the suppression of the death signaling pathway. A higher rate of breast cancer has been seen when a acidosis-dependent genetic signature is present. Moreover, MLX is also involved in the regulation of apoptosis and adipogenesis.
MLXIP, a molecule that interacts and forms heterodimers with MLX is called MLXIP. It acts by activating transcription from CACGTGE boxes, and the nucleotide export signal is CRM1-dependent. Its Cterminus contains the cytoplasmic locization signal. The MLXIP markers are an essential component of MLX. They activate the transcription of glycolytic target gene genes and mediate the protein-protein interaction of MLX with MONDOA. Antibodies of the MLXIP marker recognize both isoforms of this protein, isoform1 (110kDa) and isoform2 (130kDa).
Cells were grown to 90% confluence in 10 cm culture dishes and then lysed using polysome-lysis buffer. After cells were lysed with polysome lysis buffer, five mg of GCN5 antibody or MLXIP were added to the cells along with a small amount IgG. After incubation, the supernatant was washed with PLB containing 1 M urea and used for western blot analysis.
The MLXIP marker targets MLX protein. It is used for WB, IP and IHC. This antibody is highly compatible with human, mouse, or rat samples. It has multiple applications in the field of metabolic research. It is still in its early stages of clinical trials. For more information, please reach out to the manufacturer of this particular antibody. Here are some common uses of the MLXIP mark.
