Facts about Gasdermin-A.

Expressed predominantly in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and in the skin at a lower level. In the GI tract, the expression is highly restricted to the esophagus and forestomach.
PMID: 10967128 by Saeki N., et al. Gasdermin (Gsdm) localizing to mouse chromosome 11 is predominantly expressed in upper gastrointestinal tract but significantly suppressed in human gastric cancer cells.
PMID: 17350798 by Tamura M., et al. Members of a novel gene family, Gsdm, are expressed exclusively in the epithelium of the skin and gastrointestinal tract in a highly tissue-specific manner.
