Background of Six5
Transcription factor that is thought to be involved in regulation of organogenesis. May be involved in determination and maintenance of retina formation. Binds a 5'-GGTGTCAG-3' motif present in the ARE regulatory element of ATP1A1. Binds a 5'-TCA[AG][AG]TTNC-3' motif present in the MEF3 element in the myogenin promoter, and in the IGFBP5 promoter By similarity. Thought to be regulated by association with Dach and Eya proteins, and seems to be coactivated by EYA1, EYA2 and EYA3 By similarity.

We are currently using anti-SIX5 antibody A06210 for human tissue, and we are content with the WB results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human, mouse. Is it likely that the antibody can work on horse tissues as well?

You can see on the product datasheet, A06210 anti-SIX5 antibody as been tested on WB. It is best to use PFA for fixation because it has better tissue penetration ability. PFA needs to be prepared fresh before use. Long term stored PFA turns into formalin, as the PFA molecules congregate and become formalin.
