Background of ERP29
Endoplasmic reticulum protein 29 (ERp29) is a chaperone protein that in humans is encoded by the ERP29 gene. This gene encodes a protein which localizes to the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). It is a member of the protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) protein family but lacks an active thioredoxin motif, suggesting that this protein does not function as a disulfide isomerase. The canonical protein dimerizes and is thought to play a role in the processing of secretory proteins within the ER. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Lane 4: human Jurkat whole cell lysates,
Lane 5: human K562 whole cell lysates,
Lane 6: human placenta tissue lysates,
Lane 7: monkey COS-7 whole cell lysates.
After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a nitrocellulose membrane at 150 mA for 50-90 minutes. Blocked the membrane with 5% non-fat milk/TBS for 1.5 hour at RT. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-ERP29 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (Catalog # A03621-2) at 0.5 μg/mL overnight at 4°C, then washed with TBS-0.1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:5000 for 1.5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit (Catalog # EK1002) with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for ERP29 at approximately 29 kDa. The expected band size for ERP29 is at 29 kDa.
