Facts about Exportin-2.
Exportin-2 (CSE1L)
Export receptor for importin-alpha. Mediates importin- alpha re-export from the nucleus into the cytoplasm after import substrates (cargos) have been introduced into the nucleoplasm.
From the nucleus binds cooperatively to importin-alpha and into the GTPase Ran in its busy GTP-bound form. Docking of the trimeric complex to the nuclear pore complex (NPC) is mediated through binding to nucleoporins.
