Research Spotlight - November 2023

Welcome to this month’s Research Spotlight! In this issue, we are excited to showcase our customers’ new studies that are shaping the future of biomedicine.

In the field of neurology, researchers investigated a critical pathway, p300/NF-κB/NLRP3, impacted by disruptions in chaperone-mediated autophagy, which holds promise for treatments in neurodegenerative diseases. For regenerative medicine, scientists introduced a metal-organic framework-incorporated hydrogel that delivers neobavaisoflavone directly to damaged tissues, showing potential for osteoarthritis therapy.

In cancer research, scientists explored the epigenetic influence of the TP53 gene on prostate cancer's resistance to radiation, offering hope for more effective therapies. Researchers also delved into the use of antibody-opsonized nanoparticles to boost the immune response within tumors, potentially restraining melanoma metastasis.

For environmental research, scientists highlighted the connection between air pollution and bone health, while innovative nanoparticles open new doors for treating bone infections.
