Background of GPER/GPR30
G-protein coupled estrogen receptor 1 (GPER1), also known as the GPR30 or CEPR is a G protein-coupled receptor that in humans is encode d by the GPER gene. This gene is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family and encodes a multi-pass membrane protein that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum. It is mapped to 7p22.3. The protein binds estrogen, resulting in intracellular calcium mobilization and synthesis of phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate in the nucleus. This protein therefore plays a role in the rapid nongenomic signaling events widely observed following stimulation of cells and tissues with estrogen. Alternate transcriptional splice variants which encode the same protein have been characterized.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

1 Customer Q&As for Anti-G-protein coupled receptor 30/GPER1 Antibody Picoband®
Question
We are currently using anti-G-protein coupled receptor 30/GPER1 antibody PA2235 for human tissue, and we are content with the WB results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human. Is it likely that the antibody can work on feline tissues as well?

Answer
The anti-G-protein coupled receptor 30/GPER1 antibody (PA2235) has not been tested for cross reactivity specifically with feline tissues, though there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in feline you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.
